Our On-Site Crematory

Nationwide, cremation is on the rise. In fact, it is projected that by the year 2025, over 43% of those who are faced with the decision will choose cremation over in-ground burial. Cremation is a more popular choice for families in the Naperville area too, yet many come to us with concerns.

Naperville's Only On-Site Crematory Ensures Peace-of-Mind

At Beidelman-Kunsch, we feel the addition of our new crematory is an investment in your trust. Many area funeral homes advertise that they offer "cremation services", however, most subcontract this sensitive process to distant, off-site industrial crematories.

We are the only funeral home in Naperville with our own On-Site Crematory. We want you to feel comfortable in knowing that your loved one will never leave our facility and will be cared for only by our own employees. Each step of the cremation process will be handled with our state-of-the-art equipment and entirely on-site, to offer you and your family an invaluable piece of mind.

We’re here to answer your questions, and provide you with assurance that Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory is the most appropriate cremation provider for your family. Why? Because our state-of-the-art crematory is located on our grounds, which means that your loved one:

- Will never leave our care
Ours is among the very few mortuaries to operate our own crematory inside our clean and secure facility. From the moment your loved one comes into our care, they will be tended by us – and only us.

- Will be tended with dignity, under the highest standards
To assure your loved one is being cared for appropriately, we adhere to a strict procedure, and always involve two staff members in every cremation process. Our state-of-the-art equipment is maintained at the highest possible standards and is environmentally safe.

- Will be cared for by certified cremationists
We are members of the Cremation Association of North America, which provides advanced certifications to our staff. We adhere to a Cremation Code of Ethics, an assurance to you of our commitment to dignity and honesty.

- Will have family and friends present
Many families are comforted to know that they can be a witness for their loved one. We offer viewing for those who wish to be present for the start of the cremation process.

What is Cremation?

Cremation is, as you may be aware, the process of reducing the body of the deceased to fragments of bone by way of heat and flame. What remains of the body after this process is often called “ashes,” however we prefer to say “cremated remains” because we think that the word “ashes” can be misunderstood.

We will be pleased to explain the consistency of cremated remains in as much detail as you prefer. And, if you are considering scattering we ask that you allow us to prepare you for what you will see.

The Religious Aspects of a Cremation Decision

We embrace and respect cultural and religious diversity. Working with a family's clergy or cultural leader, we make sure that religious guidelines are strictly followed. If the deceased is Jewish, Christian Orthodox, Muslim, or Roman Catholic, we always suggest that you consult clergy or our staff for guidance.
